Today, we have an extraordinary guest whose career reads like a love letter to wearable art and its power to transform culture.
Lisa M. Berman is the Founding Director of WAM—The Wearable Art Museum—in New York City. For over 25 years, she’s been a curator, advocate, and cultural connector, championing studio jewelry artists and guiding their work into major museums worldwide. I had the pleasure of working with her when Lisa curated a very special exhibit of my portraits at the Muckenthaler Museum in Fullerton, California in 2023—and I can tell you firsthand, her curatorial vision is remarkable.
As the visionary behind Sculpture To Wear and founder of the Berman Arts Agency, Lisa has shaped the dialogue between art, fashion, and culture on a global scale. She’s also a Partner to the United Nations Sustainable Fashion & Lifestyle Network.
Today, we’re exploring something Lisa knows better than almost anyone: how handmade jewelry and objects can become catalysts for conversation—preserving history, culture, and beauty in ways that matter deeply in our rapidly changing world.
You can follow Lisa’s work and vision on Instagram and Facebook.
